What does the CAUTION on the DenSureFit package mean?

What does the caution on the DenSureFit package mean?

The “CAUTION” on the DenSureFit package, “For temporary use only. Long-term use of this product may cause problems that require correction by a dental professional.” is mandated FDA verbiage that must be included on ALL over-the-counter reline kits. The warning does not refer to the actual material that the reline is made of, but rather it is to provide guidance to the user so that the user does not depend solely upon a soft reline kit to to keep their denture fitting properly. Rather, the user should use the over-the-counter reline products IN BETWEEN regular adjustments by the dentist.

The FDA and DenSureFit wants to ensure that the consumer/denture wearer/user understands that they should not stop visiting the dentist because they are relining their dentures at home. The denture wearer still needs to regularly visit their dentist to maintain properly-fitting dentures. Ill-fitting dentures can cause many issues and accelerated bone loss.

DenSureFit should be used between regular adjustments from your dentist to help keep the denture snug.

DenSureFit is properly listed, registered and maintains full compliance with FDA regulations. Our silicone (vinyl polysiloxane) and primer are medical grade and are the same materials used by dentists FDA/DenSureFit
