I have to use so much DenSureFit and I still can't get a good fit!

If you are in your permanent denture and you are having to use more than 2 applicators of silicone and are still not getting a good fit, find out why!

HARD RELINE TIME...Using 3 or More Silicone and Still Not getting Great Fit

Most people with medium looseness require 2 applicators of silicone to make their denture snug.

If you are using 3 or more applicators of silicone and you are still not snug and you still can't get a good fit on your permanent denture, you may be in need of a hard reline. You'll want to visit your dentist for his/her advice.

For those in their IMMEDIATE denture (usually during the first 18 months post-extraction), sometimes having to use 3 applicators of silicone may be necessary and it just can't be helped. Your gums are shrinking and perhaps your dentist doesn't offer a hard reline on your Immediate. Perhaps you need to wait until you get to a certain point before your dentist will do a hard reline and have to make the best of it in the meanwhile. In that case, you'll probably just use however much DenSureFit silicone you need to make your denture snug until you get that hard reline or your new permanent denture. Please note that you'll probably expect a much better fit as the silicone fills the major voids, but you likely will not experience a perfect fit because of all the material that is having to be used. The more silicone used, the more squishiness there is when you bite down/chew. The more squishiness, the less perfect the fit.
