If you feel the need of the added security of adhesive with your DenSureFit liner, powder adhesive works best.
POWDER adhesive is most effective on top of a DenSureFit liner.
Some upper denture situations do not have the natural contours to achieve natural suction and require POWDER adhesive over their DenSureFit lining. And of course, we all are familiar with the challenges of the lower.
Below are some of the most typical situations for uppers requiring the extra security of powder adhesive:

Powder adhesives work best on top of a DenSureFit liner because it has a little texture to it for better adhesion, which is a huge advantage for DenSureFit users. Cream/paste adhesives do not adhere well to the silicone.

Paste VS Powder Adhesive on Top of DenSureFit Silicone
If you have used powder adhesive in the past and had found it to be ineffective, you likely will have a more successful experience when you use it on top of a DenSureFit lining. Before, the powder adhesive may have dropped into voids in your denture and may not have been making good even surface contact with your mouth.
Once you fill those voids with DenSureFit silicone, the powder no longer drops into voids. It makes good even surface contact with your tissue so that you get the even tackiness that helps keep your denture in place.
A bonus for using powder adhesive is that while it adheres to your denture to keep the denture secure, it does not adhere to your mouth like pastes/creams do. It is much easier to remove at the end of the day, most people report.
DenSureFit customers do not report having a preference of one brand of powder adhesive over another. They report using generic powders to name brand powders and obtaining adequate adhesion.
If you are relining a lower denture with DenSureFit, the chance that you may need to use a powder adhesive is increased, so we recommend you purchasing powder adhesive before you reline you reline your denture with DenSureFit so that you have it on-hand should you need it.
So, will DenSureFit be worth it if you still need to use powder adhesive?
Most DenSureFit users with similar denture situations think so. Their denture is more comfortable to wear and they can change from paste to powder adhesives, making their daily routines much easier.
Plus, the powder adhesive is less expensive and the bottle lasts much longer, so the cost of the powder adhesive is minimal. Compared to what they were spending on cream/paste adhesive (around $20/month), DenSureFit ends up costing less when averaged over the 3 month + life of a DenSureFit liner.
