DenSureFit is intended for acrylic dentures. It is not recommended for use on alternative denture materials.
DenSureFit is intended for acrylic dentures. If you use DenSureFit on alternative denture materials such as Russell Klein karadent, Valplast, Flexite, or other alternative materials, you might not get proper adhesion, thus you may get a shorter life from your liner. DenSureFit does not recommend using DenSureFit on alternative denture materials.
Because alternative materials are generally flexible, as the denture flexes in your mouth, it loosens the silicone and so it will likely lift off much sooner than you would be satisfied with.
We cannot guarantee that DenSureFit will adhere to your denture for any length of time. Unfortunately, nor can we offer a refund if it peels off.
Some DenSureFit customers have had success with getting the DenSureFit to adhere for some time.
Here are these customers' TIPS. Please be advised that these TIPS are provided by the customers and that DenSureFit cannot guarantee that these tips will allow the silicone to adhere for any length of time.
Customers' TIPS for possible longer adhesion
- Silicone will stick better to dentures with rougher surfaces. It might be necessary to gently add a little texture to the inside edges of the denture plate with the fine side of an emery board to get a little traction for the silicone to better stick. Be gentle. Do not change the surface contours of your denture in any way. Just add a little texture to your edges and maybe even some places inside your denture.
- When you apply the primer, dip the swab into the primer once. Use the swab to prime the denture and keep going over it until the sponge is dry.
- After priming, wait 1 or 2 hours before applying the silicone.
- After relining your denture, do not trim the denture for 2 hours.
- After relining your denture, do not wear the denture for 2 hours. Leave it out to air dry.
