TIPS FOR RELINE:
- You need to apply DenSureFit primer over a soft professional reline. While priming is not necessary when applying DenSureFit silicone on top of DenSureFit silicone, priming IS NECESSARY over your dentist-applied soft liner. If you don't apply primer, it may lift/peel off. (We do not know what material your dentist has used, so to ensure our product adheres to it, use the primer! You will be priming the entire inside of your denture, except for the center of your palate. When applying DenSureFit on a hard acrylic base, the purpose of the primer is to get the silicone to stick to the acrylic base. When applying DenSureFit on top of a soft professional reline, the purpose of the primer is to get DenSureFit silicone to the soft professional reline material.)
- Do NOT apply any silicone to the palate (roof part) of your denture! Your dentist has already put material on your palate. Applying more material (DenSureFit silicone) would over-build your palate and would cause it to drop too low in your mouth, and would then create new voids in your trough/gum line. ONLY apply silicone to the trough (gum area) of your denture, specifically to the middle of the wall.
- Before you start, read and practice FINDING your SUCTION SPOT. This is crucial to getting a great fit!

Why does this work?
Your roof is not changing. Your gums are. When you fit your palate perfectly, the silicone in the trough/gum line will naturally travel to the voids that are causing your denture to be unstable. The silicone then supports your gum line in the proper place so that the denture stays flush against the roof of your mouth. This is how suction occurs.
Note: High rounded arches tend to get better suction than flatter less-contoured palates.
Tips for trimming UPPERS
Note that OVER-TRIMMING can ruin your fit.
- Only trim if silicone is loose/hanging/uncomfortable...or if you can see it when you smile.
- Only trim on the FRONT side of your denture. NEVER trim directly on top of the ridge. You will break your silicone seal.
- If you have excess silicone coming off the back edge of your palate, try to leave it there if it is not bothering you as it helps to seal the back edge. If you do feel like you need to trim the back edge, do not trim bluntly on the back edge. Leave a little bit of silicone and trim excess by angling the scissors AWAY from your denture, at a 45 degree angle. This will help to keep the silicone laying against the roof of your mouth for a seal.
