DenSureFit may be used on an acrylic partial denture. Find out HOW it can help a partial to fit better and what partials it should NOT be used on. Also, find the RELINE PROCEDURE for Partials here.
DenSureFit may be used on an upper or a lower ACRYLIC partial denture. Please be aware that DenSureFit is intended for ACRYLIC dentures. If your partial denture base is not acrylic, please do not use it.
USING DenSureFit on PARTIAL DENTURES
- DenSureFit works well to stabilize most partials. It may be used on an upper or lower partial.
- DenSureFit will not adhere to metal partials. Only use on acrylic bases. If you have metal clips and an acrylic base, DenSureFit should work for you.
- DenSureFit is not intended for alternative denture materials such as Flexite, Valplast, Karadent, among others. DenSureFit may not adhere well to these materials very well, shortening the life of the liner.
- Feel free to email photos of your partial to help@densurefit.com and we can help you determine if DenSureFit might be a good option for you.
DenSureFit can BENEFIT an Acrylic Partial in Two Ways:
- Cushion the partial to help prevent rubbing/soreness.
- Re-stabilize your partial by building up the trough of the partial so that it sits on your gum line again, the way it probably did when it was first made for you.
Your partial might be anchored in at the same place as when it was first made, but now your gum line may have shrunk. This is usually the cause of the unstable partial.
When some wearers of partials experience tissue retraction and bone loss on the gum line, they may notice a slight gap between the partial and the gum line.
The DenSureFit silicone can be used to fill in the area where there used to be gum. The slight pink color of the silicone blends with the color of your partial, so blends right in.

PROCEDURE for RELINING an UPPER OR LOWER PARTIAL DENTURE with DenSureFit
Always make sure that your upper denture fits perfectly before relining a lower. You need a perfect-fitting upper in order to properly seat your lower. The objective is to build up the trough of your partial to provide a stable foundation so that it fills in the gap between your gums and where your partial sits.
